Health and Nutrition Guide
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how WellNest Apps ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile application Health and Nutrition Guide (the "App"), available on Google Play. The App is a nutrition reference app that provides nutritional information about vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods, together with fitness calculators such as BMI and calorie tools.
We designed the App to work without an account and to collect as little data as possible. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide: the App does not require registration and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal contact details.
Information stored on your device only:
- Bookmarks: when you bookmark foods or articles inside the App, those bookmarks are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see or access them.
- Calculator inputs: values you enter into the fitness calculators (such as height, weight, or age) are processed on your device to show you the result. They are not transmitted to us.
Information collected automatically: like most mobile apps, the App and the third-party services it uses (described below) may automatically collect:
- Device or other identifiers — such as the Android advertising ID assigned to your device;
- App activity — such as which screens you view and how you interact with the App;
- App info and performance — such as crash logs and diagnostics that help us fix bugs and improve stability.
This data is encrypted in transit. We do not share it with third parties, and we cannot use it to personally identify you.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the App;
- To diagnose crashes and fix technical problems;
- To understand which features are used so we can make the App more useful;
- To show advertising that keeps the App free (see below).
4. Advertising
The App contains advertising served by Google AdMob, which keeps the App free to use. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on older Android versions).
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymized usage and diagnostic information (such as screen views and crash reports). This helps us understand how the App is used and improve it. You can read how Google processes this data in the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. The limited automatic data described above is processed only by Google services (AdMob, Firebase) acting as our service providers, under their own privacy commitments. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
7. Data Security
Automatically collected data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS). Data you store inside the App never leaves your device.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
- On-device data (bookmarks, journal entries, preferences) remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App's data in Android settings, or uninstall the App.
- Analytics and advertising data is retained by Google according to its own retention policies and is aggregated/anonymized. Because we do not collect personal identifiers, we are unable to locate and delete data tied to a specific individual; you can reset or delete your device's advertising ID at any time in your device settings.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Medical Disclaimer
The App provides general information for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the App.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the European Union or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because the App collects no directly identifying personal data, most of these rights can be exercised simply by resetting your advertising ID or clearing the App's data — but you can always contact us with any request or question.
12. Third-Party Links
The App or this website may contain links to third-party sites and services (such as Google Play). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
